Before you install
Version 1.1.1 is available on Nexus Mods and Steam Workshop. The current release lists Bannerlord 1.4.8 stable and requires Mod Configuration Menu v5, version 5.11.4 or newer.
Install MCM's required dependencies and follow the load order recommended on its page.
Installation
- Install and enable MCM and all of its required dependencies.
- Install Army of One through Vortex, download its Nexus archive, or subscribe on Steam Workshop. For a manual installation, extract WPS_ArmyOfOne into Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\.
- In Singleplayer → Mods, enable [WPS] Army of One after its dependencies.
- Start or load a campaign and open Options → Mod Options → [WPS] Army of One.
Choosing your party-size bonus
Party Size Bonus adds between 0 and 5,000 places to your main party's troop limit. The default bonus is +2,500.
Your normal bonuses from Steward, perks and clan tier remain part of the total. AI lords keep their normal party limits.
- Move the Party Size Bonus slider to the extra capacity you want.
- Return to the campaign map and check your party limit. No restart is required; allow the game to refresh the displayed limit.
- Set the bonus to 0 when you want to check the limit without Army of One's additional capacity.
Campaign and mod compatibility
Army of One can be enabled for an existing campaign.
Another mod that replaces the party-size calculation may override Army of One or be overridden by it. Use one such replacement unless the other author confirms compatibility.
A higher capacity lets you recruit more troops; it does not automatically add them to your party. Larger rosters and battles may need lower game settings or a smaller bonus for comfortable performance.
If the limit or settings are wrong
- Check that MCM, its required dependencies and Army of One are all enabled.
- Confirm the Party Size Bonus slider value and return to the campaign map so the displayed limit can refresh.
- Check whether another party-size mod is active. Test with a single party-size replacement.
- Report the Bannerlord, Army of One and MCM versions, slider setting, displayed party limit, active mod list and steps that reproduce the problem.
