Requirements
For Bannerlord 1.5.2 single-player campaigns. Requires Wanderer Control 2.0.1, Harmony 2.4.2.248, and MCM 5.12.3 with MCM’s own requirements. Keep the official game modules enabled.
Wanderer Control can be installed from Nexus or Steam. Keep one enabled copy of each required mod.
Installation
- Close Bannerlord and keep a backup save before updating your mod list.
- Install the required mods, then subscribe to Wanderer Relationships on Steam or place the Nexus package’s complete WPS_WandererRelationships folder in Modules.
- Enable Wanderer Relationships after Wanderer Control, Harmony, and MCM.
- Load your campaign and open Esc → Mod Options → [WPS] Wanderer Relationships.
Start and manage a relationship
Speak directly to an eligible companion and choose “I would like to discuss your place in my household.” The dialogue lets you propose a relationship, review your household, and end a relationship after confirmation.
Eligible partners are living adult female wanderer companions in your clan. Both characters must be free and active, meet the campaign’s adulthood age and the configured relationship threshold, and not be close relatives within three generations. Your ordinary spouse cannot also be a household partner. Married companions are excluded unless you enable Allow Married.
Private moments and pregnancy are separate options. Pregnancy requires an eligible male and female pair, the campaign’s birth and death cycle, and a mother within the configured age range who is not already pregnant. If parentage support is unavailable, conception is disabled while relationships remain available.
Household settings
- Maximum partners: 1–50, with 10 as the default. Lowering the limit does not remove existing partners.
- Required relationship: −100 to +100, starting at 0. Allow Married starts off.
- Relationship changes default to +10 for acceptance, −10 for ending a relationship, and +2 for a private moment. Each can be adjusted.
- Private moments and pregnancy start enabled. Pregnancy chance starts at 30%; maximum pregnancy age starts at 45.
- Notifications start enabled. Turning off the mod’s main setting keeps existing relationship records.
Campaign changes and removal
Relationships belong to the player character who formed them; they do not pass to an heir. Captivity pauses access without ending the relationship. Death, leaving the clan or companion role, an incompatible marriage, or invalid age or family eligibility can end it.
To remove the mod, save and exit before disabling it. Its dialogue and labels disappear; it does not remove heroes or pregnancies already recorded in the campaign. Mods that change pregnancy, companion membership, or clan and encyclopedia screens can overlap.
If a proposal is unavailable
Check the partner limit, minimum relationship, age, family ties, marital status, and whether the companion is active in your clan. Load the campaign before opening the settings.
