Install, configure, and troubleshoot WPS Attribute Per Level.

Use the sections below for setup, requirements, settings, compatibility, removal, and troubleshooting.

Overview

A lightweight Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord mod that grants the player 1 attribute point every time they level up instead of the vanilla intermittent system.

Features

  • 1 Attribute Point Per Level: Receive an attribute point with every level up
  • 1 Focus Point Per Level: Normal focus point gain remains unchanged
  • Lightweight: Simple, focused implementation using Bannerlord's campaign level-up event
  • Player Only: Only affects the player character, AI behavior unchanged

How It Works

In vanilla Bannerlord, attribute points are granted intermittently (roughly every 4 levels). This mod changes that to grant exactly 1 attribute point every single level, making character progression more consistent and rewarding.

What You Get Per Level

1 Focus Point (vanilla)

1 Attribute Point (modified from intermittent)

Installation

  1. Download the mod
  2. Extract to Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\WPS_AttributePerLevel\
  3. Enable the mod in the game launcher
  4. Start or continue your campaign

Compatibility

  • Game Version: Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord v1.3.0+

  • Native, SandBoxCore, and Sandbox enabled
  • No external runtime patching dependency is documented

Troubleshooting

The mod grants its extra attribute point when the player gains a new level after the module is enabled; it does not retroactively recalculate earlier levels.

If a new level gives no extra point, confirm the module is enabled for singleplayer and Native, SandBoxCore, and Sandbox are active.

Disable other attribute or level-progression mods temporarily to isolate a conflict with the same level-up event or unspent-point value.

Report reproducible issues through the Nexus Mods Bugs tab with the game version, mod version, and active progression mods.
