Overview

Restores recruitable companion city locations on Bannerlord encyclopedia hero pages.

Why this exists

Recent Bannerlord behavior can leave companion and wanderer encyclopedia pages without the city location players used to rely on. This mod brings that practical information back while keeping the vanilla encyclopedia page, vanilla last-seen wording, and clickable settlement links.

Features

  • Shows the current city for recruitable wanderers in the encyclopedia.
  • Keeps Bannerlord's vanilla Last seen at/near text format.
  • Keeps settlement names clickable through the vanilla encyclopedia link.
  • Does not mark heroes as known to the player.
  • Does not add custom save data and is designed to remain lightweight.

Requirements

  • Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord singleplayer v1.4.5.
  • Base-game modules: Native, SandBoxCore, and Sandbox.
  • Bannerlord.Harmony v2.4.2.225 or a compatible release.

Installation

  1. Install and enable Bannerlord.Harmony.
  2. Install this mod into your Bannerlord Modules folder.
  3. Enable [WPS] Companion Location Restored after Bannerlord.Harmony in the launcher.
  4. Start or load a singleplayer campaign.

Compatibility Notes

  • No save data is added.
  • No troops, clans, settlements, AI, economy, formations, scenes, equipment, or dialogue are changed.
  • The mod uses one Harmony postfix on Bannerlord's last-seen text helper.
  • May overlap with other mods that rewrite encyclopedia last-seen text.

Troubleshooting

If a location is missing, first confirm the encyclopedia entry belongs to a recruitable wanderer and that Bannerlord currently has city-location data for that hero.

Verify Bannerlord.Harmony is enabled and loads before WPS Companion Location Restored, with Native, SandBoxCore, and Sandbox enabled.

If the last-seen wording or settlement link is replaced, test without other mods that rewrite encyclopedia hero text; they may patch the same helper.

When reporting a reproducible issue on the mod's Nexus page, include Bannerlord and Harmony versions, the affected hero, whether the hero is known to the player, and a complete mod list.
