Overview
WPS Village Recovery lets players and eligible AI lord parties help devastated villages recover after raids.
Donate supplies directly, fund resources from the village's linked settlement market, or ask friendly clan leaders in your kingdom to support one of your recovering villages.
Features
- Village Recovery Menu - Adds a recovery option to damaged and looted village screens.
- Immediate Progress - Each donated item restores its calculated share of the village's missing recovery.
- Partial Donations - Donate one supply category at a time; the full requirement does not need to be delivered at once.
- Gold Funding - Buy required goods from the linked market when that settlement has the item in stock.
- AI Assistance - Eligible AI lords can help villages they own or villages owned by clans whose leader they like.
- Kingdom Dialogue Request - Ask friendly kingdom clan leaders to help one of your recovering villages.
- Resident Gratitude - Helping party leaders gain +10 relation with village residents when recovery finishes.
- Optional MCM Support - Adjust resource requirements and AI help tuning if Mod Configuration Menu is installed.
- Lightweight Implementation - Uses campaign events, menus, dialogue, and vanilla settlement recovery actions without Harmony patches.
Default Recovery Requirements
- 100 Hardwood
- 10 Tools
- 10 Hides
- 3 Linen
- 100 Grain
- 100 Meat
- 100 Grapes
- 100 Fish
- 1 Plank for villages with a port
How It Works
The full set of required donated items equals 100% of the village's missing recovery progress.
Default recovery math:
Non-port villages require 523 total donated items.
Port villages require 524 total donated items because they also need one plank.
Each donated item immediately restores its share of the village's missing recovery.
Gold funding uses the village's linked settlement market. If that market does not have the selected resource in stock, that gold option is unavailable.
Requirements
- Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord singleplayer.
- Base-game modules: Native, SandBoxCore, and Sandbox.
- Optional: Bannerlord.MBOptionScreen (Mod Configuration Menu) to configure recovery requirements and AI-help tuning.
- Bannerlord.Harmony, Bannerlord.ButterLib, and Bannerlord.UIExtenderEx are not required.
- No specific Bannerlord or MCM version is listed for the current file; check the Nexus requirements and Files tabs before updating either one.
Installation
- Download the latest version.
- Extract the WPS_VillageRecovery folder to Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\.
- Launch the game.
- Enable [WPS] Village Recovery in the mod launcher.
- Start or load a campaign.
Vortex Mod Manager
On Nexus Mods, select Mod Manager Download for the current WPS Village Recovery file.
Install with Vortex.
Deploy mods.
Launch the game and enable the module if needed.
Optional Configuration:
Install and enable Mod Configuration Menu before this mod if you want configurable recovery requirements.
Without Mod Configuration Menu, the mod uses its built-in defaults.
Compatibility
- Designed for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord singleplayer.
- Designed to be added to an existing campaign; back up important saves before changing the module list.
- Mod Configuration Menu is optional.
- No Harmony, ButterLib, or UIExtenderEx dependency.
- May overlap with mods that replace village raid states, village recovery, or the village game menu.
Troubleshooting
If the recovery option is missing, confirm the target is a damaged or looted village; healthy villages do not need the recovery menu.
If a gold-funding choice is unavailable, check the village's linked settlement market for the selected resource. The option requires that item to be in stock.
If progress differs from the listed 523-item or 524-item defaults, review Bannerlord.MBOptionScreen settings if MCM is installed; configured requirements change each item's share.
For AI assistance, confirm the lord is eligible to help the owned village or has the required relationship with the owning clan leader. For a dialogue request, use a friendly clan leader in the player's kingdom.
If the village menu or raid state behaves differently, test without another mod that replaces village menus or recovery actions.
When reporting a reproducible issue on the mod's Nexus page, include the Bannerlord version, village state, port status, remaining requirements, linked-market stock, MCM settings, and a complete mod list.
